| | Welcome to the 2008 Ponderosa Baseball Spirit Week! Below are the details
of the activities for next week. | Thursday 2/28: | Hats: After practice
the players will be fitted for hats. Hats are $20. Any player that has not pre-paid for a hat can pay Friday at Spirit Day. Player Merchandise: Players will then pickup their player merchandise
ordered in January.
| | Friday 2/29: | - Player Photos: Players will receive their uniforms and will
take team and individual pictures beginning at 4pm. Players will be notified by their coach what they should wear for pictures.
Please keep in mind that grey or white pants are required depending upon the team uniform. Players will receive the picture
order form to complete in advance if the parents want to purchase additional pictures.
- Potluck Dinner: Setup for dinner will begin at 5:15 to 5:30pm in the PHS
Cafeteria.
- Families from each team are asked to
bring the following items (since we are expecting between 150-200 people, please make each dish large enough to feed at least
10 hungry ballplayers):
Last name starting A-M: Mexican
style dinner entrée
Last name starting N-Z: Salads, fruit and/or desserts - Main Entrée Suggestions: Beef tacos, chicken enchiladas,
taquitos, chicken or beef fajitas. (And don’t forget the tortillas, taco shells, chips, salsa, sour cream, shredded
cheese, queso or guacamole that makes your dish special!)

Diamond Club will provide lemonade and water, sodas, coffee, cups, plates, cutlery and napkins.

Arizona Spring Break Trip: Players will be notified by Coach Stiles if they are to attend the Arizona
spring break trip. There will be a table set up for additional information at Spirit Day. Tickets have been reserved on Frontier
Airlines. Each family attending the Arizona trip MUST check in at this table. If you are planning on taking the Frontier flight,
the cost per person is $240.00. You must bring a check for your airfare to Spirit Day. The payment to Frontier must be made
the following Monday 3/3/08. Families will also receive information about the lodging at the Embassy Suites where rooms have
been reserved for players and families. Payment for lodging is not required for Spirit Day. Diamond
club merchandise: Diamond Club Members will check in to the membership table where they will receive their member
merchandise. If you are not a member, you will be able to join or you can join on-line in advance of Spirit Day. Spirit
Gear: Spirit Gear and Player Merchandise will be available (in limited quantities) including hats, jackets, sweatshirts,
etc. Order forms will be available for any items not in stock. Speaker: Chris Mathewson
will speak at 6pm. Player Introductions: Following Chris' message, each coach
will then introduce their team.
